Wedding weekends can be packed! That's why we've broken down our wedding day into a simple, easy-to-follow schedule that you'll find below.
The location

Opened in 1996 in Pittsburgh's vibrant Strip District, The Senator John Heinz History Center is the largest history museum in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The building, originally home to the Chautauqua Lake Ice Company, boasts a gorgeous industrial aesthetic, scenic views, and fascinating exhibits. Oh yeah, and an upcoming wedding!
Guests have free access to the museum all wedding weekend; just let the security desk know that you’re in town for the Shuback/Crowder wedding.
Our wedding ceremony
Detre Library and Archives at the Heinz History Center
5:30pm EST
Located on the museum’s sixth floor, the Detre Library and Archives is the region's preeminent resource for local history, as well as a quiet and intimate ceremony space.
All wedding guests are welcome to access the museum at 5:00pm to peruse the exhibits prior to the ceremony. Please note that several events are being held in the city during our wedding weekend, so make sure to allow enough time for parking and getting seated if you’re not staying near the venue.
Cocktail hour
The Great Hall at the Heinz History Center
6:00–7:00pm EST
Located on the ground floor of the Heinz History Center lies the museum's showpiece, the Great Hall! Housing some of the building's most iconic installations and attractions, it's the ideal place for a party!
Dinner & Reception

Join us for a delicious plated dinner provided by Pittsburgh's own Common Plea Catering. Don’t forget to stop by the famous Pittsburgh cookie table throughout the evening as well!
